Five years ago I published the original photo book "LIPS". It was an anthropological photo study comparing the lips of each woman's mouth to her labia. It contained 50 different women. I thought I was finished with the project at that point because it took me 5 long years to photograph those 50 women. But I had always wanted the book to contain 100 women. Amy is a personal friend and a co-worker of mine. She is a superb family portrait photographer in her own right. We have worked together many times. Not too long ago we had a gig on location together to do 300 family portraits. Well... we decided that, rather than commute every day for the three hour round trip, we'd just get a hotel together and be done with it.
